UPS for Pano Market

UPS is a global parcel carrier. This plugin adds it as a shipping provider to Pano Market, which must be installed and running: it is a required dependency of this plugin.

What it supports

• Live shipping rates at checkout for the UPS services you allow, with your negotiated contract prices if you enable them.
• Buying a label from the Pano panel: GIF, PNG or ZPL for thermal printers, up to 20 packages per shipment.
• International shipments: the customs invoice is sent with the order, and orders whose items lack an HS code or country of origin are refused before anything is bought.
• Cancelling (voiding) a label that has not been used yet, and fetching a label again if it was lost.
• Tracking: Pano Market asks UPS for the state of open shipments; an optional Track Alert URL makes it ask sooner.
• Test mode against the UPS sandbox.

Verification level

Unverified: this plugin has not been tested against a live or sandbox UPS account. Its tracking handling was checked only with sample answers written from the documented protocol.

Setup

1. Install Pano Market, then this plugin, and open Market, Shipping, UPS in the panel.
2. Create an app on developer.ups.com, attach your UPS account to it and paste the client ID, the client secret and the 6-character account number.
3. Fill in the sender address and the default parcel size.
4. Press “Test connection”, then enable the carrier and bind a shipping method to one of its services.
5. Optional: register the Track Alert URL shown in the form with UPS. The notification is not trusted: Pano Market always asks UPS for the real state first.
