FedEx for Pano Market

FedEx is a global parcel carrier. This plugin adds it as a shipping provider to Pano Market, which must be installed and running: it is a required dependency of this plugin.

What it supports

• Live shipping rates at checkout from your own FedEx account, one rate per FedEx service.
• Tracking of open shipments, including tracking numbers you typed in yourself: Pano Market asks FedEx for the scans and moves the order along (FedEx offers no free webhook, so tracking is polled).
• Labels (PDF, PNG or ZPL for thermal printers) and cancelling a label that has not been picked up, once FedEx has certified the labels of your account and you turn on “Labels are certified”. Until then you create labels in FedEx's own tools and add the tracking number to the shipment.
• International shipments send the customs data Pano Market holds (value, origin, HS code).
• Test mode against the FedEx sandbox, with its own keys.
• One parcel per shipment.

Verification level

Unverified: this plugin has not been tested against a live or sandbox FedEx account. Its tracking handling was checked only with sample answers written from the documented protocol.

Setup

1. Install Pano Market, then this plugin, and open Market, Shipping, FedEx in the panel.
2. Create a project in the FedEx Developer Portal (as a shipper) and paste its API key and secret key, plus your FedEx account number.
3. Fill in the sender address and the default parcel size.
4. Press “Test connection”, then enable the carrier and bind a shipping method to one of its services.
5. Labels: complete FedEx's label certification for your project, then turn on “Labels are certified”.
