ShipEngine for Pano Market

ShipEngine (the ShipStation API) is a multi-carrier shipping service. This plugin adds it as a shipping provider to Pano Market, which must be installed and running: it is a required dependency of this plugin.

What it supports

• Live shipping rates at checkout from the carrier accounts of your ShipEngine key, with the services that cannot take a parcel listed separately.
• Buying the label of the quoted rate from the Pano panel: PDF or ZPL for thermal printers, delivered at once or fetched a moment later. A label is never bought twice for one order.
• Voiding a label that has not been scanned yet (cancelled only when ShipEngine approves it).
• Tracking: Pano Market asks ShipEngine for the state of open shipments, and a tracking webhook makes it ask sooner.
• Test mode against the ShipEngine sandbox with a TEST_ key.
• Domestic shipments of your account country; customs data for international shipments is not sent.
• One parcel per shipment.

Verification level

Unverified: this plugin has not been tested against a live or sandbox ShipEngine account. Its tracking handling was checked only with sample answers written from the documented protocol.

Setup

1. Install Pano Market, then this plugin, and open Market, Shipping, ShipEngine in the panel.
2. Paste the API key from the API Management page of your ShipEngine account (a sandbox key starts with TEST_ and goes with test mode). Optionally list the carrier account ids to quote from.
3. Fill in the sender address and the default parcel size.
4. Copy the webhook URL shown in the form into your ShipEngine account as a tracking webhook (event: track). Pano Market does not trust the notification itself: it always asks ShipEngine for the real state first.
5. Press “Test connection”, then enable the carrier and bind a shipping method to one of its services.
